The worst thing that I have ever eaten would be fish head soup. My fathers side of the family is from North Carolina, and they believe in the traditional cooking customs. Not the normal things that we cook, like, say fried fish, or anything like that. It has to be really different. So one summer, while I was visiting mothers family in North Carolina, my aunts had decided to make me up a plate of food. Well, as I was eating the bowl of soup that my aunt had fixed me, I noticed these eyes staring at me from the bowl. I asked my aunt what it was, and she said fish head soup. It seems that in order to fix it, all they do is keep the heads from the fish, and cook it all up by adding mixed vegetables, and some seasonings. When I found out, I almost died!! Lol! So, I can honestly say that-that has to be the most disgusting food that I have ever eaten in my life!!!

"Surstömming" = Fermented Herring, it's basically herring - the whole fish, tinned and then left for a few years until the tin almost explodes and the fish is nice and ripe. We eat it in Sweden with thin crispy bread, boiled potatoes, sour cream, red onion and chives. But you eat it outside because you would basically have to move if you didn't as the smell lingers for at least 3 weeks. Tastes kinda salty if you can ignor the smell...

It's not food...it's a drink and it's nothing compared to the rest of the answers but it's my most weirdest - a drink I mixed including -coca cola -diet coca cola -lemonade

-soda water -ice -salt -pepper -it had another 2 drinks or so but I can't remember what. & the weirdest thing was it didn't taste all that bad! I mean it wasn't what you'd call delicious, but it was ok.

Almost everything I've eaten in China is weird...Snake soup, turtle soup, chicken feet, baby birds on a skewer, pigs ear, scorpions, some vegetable that tasted like grass!You name it, I've tried it there!

Birds nest soup, it's actually made from a cliff swallows nest and the gross thing is, the bird makes it's nest from saliva, so the soup is basically spit in a bowl.
